The Blueprint Method is a choreographic lab designed for dancers seeking to bridge the gap between improvisation and fixed material. Led by Raphael Miro Holzer, this workshop provides insight into his artistic process and the methods he employs with his company vanholzers.
The session is divided into two key parts:

🔹 Body Awareness & Movement Exploration
Participants will begin by engaging with somatic techniques, floor work, and sensory stimuli, enhancing their awareness of the body in relation to space and surroundings. These foundational exercises help dancers unlock their full potential and develop a deeper understanding of movement origins, leading into improvisational techniques. Miro Holzer carefully adapts guidance based on the class flow and individual needs.

🔹 Movement Composition & Artistic Expression
The second part of the masterclass focuses on movement composition. Through guided improvisations, participants will explore a variety of textures, dynamics, energies, and theatricality, discovering their own artistic individuality and physical capabilities. The session concludes with a sharing of created scores and excerpts from vanholzers choreographic repertoire. Upon request, participants will receive a recording of their final score.

Over the years, the Blueprint Method has been shared at prestigious institutions across Europe, such as Wayne McGregor Studio in London, Institut of Arts and La Caldera Les Corts in Barcelona, L'Obrador in Deltebre, MoveOn Dancecenter in Vienna, and Festspielhaus St. Pölten, among others.
